Most of our nautical party inspiration came from a bag of wintergreen Life Savers and a roll of twine. From those, we created coordinating napkin wraps and fun jars for the beverages, and dressed up candle centerpieces at the buffet table with a small fishing bobber and twine.
The possibilities were endless but unfortunately, our time was, so we had to stop there. Other ideas were to tie the Life Saver to a treat bag; hang fishing bobbers with twine as a buffet backdrop; and dress up the chairs with custom tags, fishing bobbers and twine.
We used small, glass milk jars for our beverage cups - which conveniently came with a cork stopper. The stoppers were cut with a small hole using a craft knife and made the perfect stand for our food tags.
And finally, brown sugar made the perfect sand to tuck our pails of Life Savers into.
