How One Hostess Hero Went “Bananas” Planning a Fantastic Twin Monkey Birthday Party!

Hostess Hero Smailin went “bananas” planning a fantastic twin monkey birthday party for her sons Joshua and Jayden, and we just had to share her amazing event photos! From a sweet-filled blue and green candy buffet and cupcakes topped with tiny bananas to favors stuffed with personalized goodies and a cake topper created to look like two monkeys, Smailin’s 1st birthday party for her sons was a celebration of blue, green and of course, her own little “monkeys.” If the photos are any indication, this was one unforgettable party. Read on to see all of the creative ways Smailin used BigDotofHapiness.com’s Monkey Boy birthday party theme and her own imagination to plan a truly memorable first birthday party for her sons!

Boy Monkey Decoration Ideas

What party is complete without a festive sign pointing guests in the direction of the fun? An expert do-it-yourselfer, Smailin created her own eye-catching sign out of blue and green paper, then cut Monkey Boy images from extra paper party goods to incorporate her theme! She demonstrated the same creative flair in the creation of her guest book, the cover of which was created using photos of the two guests of honor and cut-out Monkey Boy images from extra party supplies. Add some colorful confetti, a few balloon bouquets and an extra-large photo of the two birthday boys, and you’re left with a wonderful entry table that will leave guests excited to start celebrating!

Coordinating birthday party candy buffets and colorful dessert tables are a must-have at parties these days, and Smailin’s twin boy monkey celebration was no exception! Using a variety of clear containers, Smailin displayed green and blue candy at different heights to give her candy buffet dimension and flair. Banana-topped cupcakes wrapped in themed cupcake wrappers and coordinating favor boxes filled with sweets added more color to her dessert table, while a framed Monkey Boy poster functioned as both a birthday gift AND custom centerpiece (while adding even more dimension to the table). She even decorated lollipops with round, personalized Monkey Boy sticker labels and sprinkled miniature candy bars wrapped with mini candy bar wrapper sticker labels throughout – how cute!

Last but not least was Smailin’s impressive monkey boy cakes, one of which featured a topper shaped like two adorable little monkeys and one that was sculpted to reflect a unique, eye-catching shape. What a “sweet” addition to the dessert table!
