Want a Thanksgiving table setting that is not only stylish but affordable too? I have a couple fun and easy ideas that will make your Thanksgiving feel like a million dollars without breaking the bank. My theme this year is Pumpkin Patch. I’m doing a menu card, a napkin ring and a favor at each of my guest’s place setting.
I’m also going to put together a tree of thanks. To keep my theme affordable several of the items I’m using including the table runner, candle holder, candles, pumpkins and gourds are all things that I have around the house and in my garden. For my centerpiece I’m using a cake plate that I have and a tree branch pumpkin I purchased on sale at a local craft shop. The personalized Pumpkin Patch theme items I found and purchased at BigDotofHappiness.com
Their Pumpkin Patch invitations are adorable and will work great as my menu cards. I’m changing the personalization to include my dinner and dessert menu and their designers will do the rest.
For my napkin rings I’m cutting orange card stock paper into rectangular strips and adding a Pumpkin Patch sticker label to each one. I’ll then place the napkin ring around the outside of my folded cloth napkin, secure the back and in just a few minutes I have an adorable napkin ring that matches my Pumpkin Patch theme.
I also want to send each of my guests home with something special, my way of giving thanks for their presence in my life. The Pumpkin Patch classic favor boxes at Big Dot of Happiness caught my eye. I’m personalizing each box with the phrase Be Thankful and filling them with some home baked goodies. I also have some adorable glass bottles I’m going to fill with candy coated treats. I'm using the card stock tags that come with my classic favor boxes and attaching the tag to the glass bottles with a piece of brown satin ribbon. Not only will that put a finishing touch on my favors but it helps to carry my Pumpkin Patch theme throughout my table setting.
For my tree of thanks I gathered some branches from outside, placed them in a simple white pitcher. I added some glass marbles to the inside of the pitcher to keep the branches in place. I cut brown and orange card stock into pieces and folded them in half. On the folded top left hand corner I punched a hole and tied a piece of white satin ribbon through the hole, I then placed a Pumpkin Patch sticker label with the phrase Give Thanks to each one
As my guests arrive I going to have each of them write on a card what they are the most thankful for and place their card on one of the tree branches.
After dinner each of us will go to the tree of thanks and read out loud a card of Thanksgiving. At the end of the day we will all have many things to be thankful for. I will be thankful for my family, delicious food and affordable decorations that made for a picture perfect day!!
